Comprehensive Rate Review and Design Information Portal

The Reference Information Portal provides a central location for all interested parties to access meeting information, materials and relevant reference information related to Duke Energy's Comprehensive Rate Review for Duke Energy Carolinas (DEC) and Duke Energy Progress (DEP). In accordance with the North Carolina Utilities Commission’s March 31, 2021 order on the 2019 DEC rate case and their April 16, 2021 order on the 2019 DEP rate case, Duke Energy is engaging interested parties across North Carolina and South Carolina in a series of virtual sessions, intended to inform, foster dialogue and achieve consensus regarding possible changes and improvements to current rate designs. 

A comprehensive rate review will result in new and updated pricing options for North Carolina and South Carolina customers and explore opportunities for alignment between Duke Energy Carolinas and Duke Energy Progress. This study, while a North Carolina regulatory requirement, also represents an opportunity to strategically modernize the company’s pricing policies to give customers a more dynamic and participative future.
